A term I’ve heard a lot in the past few weeks is “surge marketing.” It’s something that’s used to describe the overwhelming marketing that can target a specific demographic of consumers based on social media, advertising, and other tools. What does this really mean? Well for starters, it doesn’t really matter if you think that’s how marketing works. If you’re looking for an extra $500 to sign up for a course or book, there are many different ways of doing that. But I’m hoping here as well that it’s not about what you think really matters. It should be about who you are and what you care about.
