So I didn’t expect to have one. Not that I thought I wouldn’t, because I did, but more so that I didn’t. I wasn’t expecting my first pregnancy. I was actually surprised I was pregnant. Well, until I found out I was pregnant, I was. There was no way I was going to be in a birthing class and I was not prepared. I didn’t even know if I could do it.
Although I had my first baby at the ripe old age of 29, I ended up getting pregnant around the age of 20. I had no idea I was pregnant because I was still living at home with my parents (it was during my first year at university that I got the idea that I would be having a baby).
It took a long time to have a baby because I was pregnant with no idea of what I was going to do with the baby. I had a few friends who were pregnant with baby girls and I had a few friends who were pregnant with baby boys. So we didn’t really have a lot of support, but I suppose my parents were a little supportive. It’s actually something I’m really thankful for because I wouldn’t be here today if I had not found out I was pregnant.
I wish people would stop being so dismissive of the idea of having children. I’m not saying that people have to give up their careers to have children, but it would be nice to be able to share a few years of your life with someone who really cares about you. Plus, it’s not as though you have to be married and have kids to have fun.
Yeah, it’s not that great of a conversation to have with someone, but it’s something. And at least you don’t have to worry about the repercussions of it, unlike having to deal with some of the other stuff that can be thrown in your face.
You can have children without being married or having kids. Its called adoption. Its not the same as being married or having kids, but its still something.
It’s very, very rare that someone will give their child up for adoption until they are at least 18. It’s also highly controversial and controversial in the eyes of most of the world, so it is hard to know what to think or say. However, in 2008, the State of Pennsylvania issued a new law that will eventually allow for the legal birth of children by adults who are 18 or older.
I can’t help but think that this will only increase the number of unwanted, but sometimes legally wanted, children. A father who decides to have his kids after marriage without his wife’s consent may face a court battle. It is also illegal for a mother to adopt her children without her husband’s consent, so its not like this is a new thing.
This is why I feel the need to mention this in my blog. I think its a very good thing. While I do think that it’s bad that this law was passed, I also think it’s good. I like that I can be myself and have my own opinions without being judged by others. This law is definitely about allowing people who are in a relationship to be themselves while still being protected by the law.
